The DVD, Audiobook and E-Book

As well as the one to one courses that I run here in Birmingham, I also offer a number of self help stuttering treatments.

A few years ago I produced a seventy minute DVD which is also available in the form of an audiobook. I also produced an e-book. These are forms of self-help and enable people who are not in the position to attend the one to one speech course to gain help.

They all include full descriptions of each of the speech rules (the techniques) as well as a lot of additional information – it is basically the backbone of the full speech courses. I receive a lot of enquiries from people from many different countries, people who are unable to attend the course but who are still interested in gaining access to the therapy.

This is the reason why I produced the stuttering treatment self-help products. As mentioned on the homepage of this website I am more than happy to offer full support to people who decide to purchase any of these products. This is where people are able to ask me any questions which they have and to seek additional advice for as long as necessary.

The DVD is available for £55 and can be purchased below as a hard copy which is sent via the post or as an automatic download. The audiobook is also available for £55 and can be purchased as an automatic download by clicking the buy now button below.

The e-book is available for £25 and can be purchased below as an automatic download or the information can be sent as what I call a course notes booklet in the post.

The original idea and reason as to why I developed these products was because I was at the time receiving a lot of e-mails from people from different countries around the world, such as Australia, New Zealand, India, Pakistan, and these were people who were interested in receiving help from myself, but who were unable to attend a one-to-one speech course.

I had a little think and decided that possibly the best way to help would be to produce some self-help products, of which the original was a 70-minute DVD. Again, the idea was to include the most important parts of the speech course, what I call the backbone of the speech courses, such as the techniques of how to stop stuttering, plus the other main areas of the course, into a visual format, i.e. a DVD.

The original, the DVD, was made available and I was quite surprised because not only did people from these foreign countries purchase the DVD, people also from the UK were buying it. So why was that a surprise to me? People often ask me, which is the best option, is it better to attend a one-to-one speech course or is it more beneficial to purchase the DVD? Now, every situation is different, people are obviously individuals and their circumstances are different, but in general, it is an absolute no brainer, the best form of help that I offer is via the one-to-one course. This is why I was a little bit surprised as to how many people were purchasing the DVD from the UK as an alternative to taking the speech course.

The self-help DVD

That was the original self-help product, the DVD. I then produced an audiobook version of the DVD; therefore, the audiobook is basically the DVD, but just in audiobook format for people to use as they would any other audiobook on their mp3 player or to listen to it in the car, as an example.

I have also produced an e-book, which is a written format of the backbone of the courses.

With all of the products and whichever people decide to purchase, if any, I always say, it is not just about purchasing, for example, the DVD. It is not just a case of you purchase and watch the film and you’re then left to your own devices. You’re not left to your own devices at all. I welcome you and encourage you to contact me at any time and on a regular basis to ask any questions you might have and to seek additional guidance. I am somebody who found it very difficult to talk between the ages of 4 and 22. Because I found it difficult to talk, I didn’t enjoy talking. Now that I can, I don’t want to stop, I love talking so for you to contact me, whether it be via e-mail, on the phone, whatever way, it’s not a chore to me, it’s not a burden, it’s not a hassle, I love speaking to people, so therefore, please feel free to contact me. I’m here to help.

I’ll leave it there for now and I’ll speak to you soon. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me by e-mail at or via the phone on 07967 549 070. Thank you.
